Collaboration plays a vital role in effective coaching. In order for collaboration to be effective, trust and respect must first be established. As a collaborative partner, coaches work with educators to identify, evaluate, and support the effective use of digital learning content and tools. Coaches must also demonstrate skills imperative to the communication process. Through strong communication skills, like active listening, coaches can better understand how to provide personalized support for educators. Successful collaboration also requires continuous reflection and refinement. In modeling effective communication and forming trusting partnerships, coaches should also foster a culture of providing and receiving feedback. Coaches should also work to celebrate and encourage educators as they partner in the collaboration process and explore new instructional strategies.
